Just to continue to improve, really. I'm the type of person that needs to take practice day by day. I'd like to be at a certain point, but some days/weeks you just can't play well, and I'd rather take my time. i figure if I work at it I'm going to improve anyway so I might as well take my time and enjoy it rather than rush it.
#8
-continue improving singing and playing
-write some new, more developed songs
-be well underway with piano lessons (hopefully starting in the next couple of weeks!!)
-buy an electric piano to replace my crappy keyboard

Dude, 2007 is almost over.
WHY IS EVERYONE IN THE PIT A FUCKING METALCORE KID

I posted something similiar to this back around the New Year, maybe this should be able progression from previous goals? My goals seem to change every few months because of new interest or circumstances, but here are my current music goals that I hope to have completed within the next year:

1. Obtain an entry level music job either with a record/publishing company
2. Try to get my children's songs published
3. Get 10 private instruction students (It's hard in my rural area)
4. RELOCATE!
5. Start progress on a Masters of Entertainment Business
6. Join a band on a regional level
7. Have my Prophet 5 repaired and in working condition
8. Buy signal processing units for my mobile recording rig

If some of those goals are met, they cancel other ones out because of time constraints.
I was once heavily prominent on these forums from 2004-2007, let's see how long I can stay now that I'm back.

Anyone have any good tips for inside picking? Anything I try to play with a bit of inside picking in it always kills me, and it seems like if I just play an exercise, I only get really good at that exercise.
#16
Greatly improve my theory.

Write some more guitar orientated tunes for my band.

Buy a new amp and an Ibanez JS1200.

Actually get my Grade 6.

What is inside picking, anyway?
#18
It's when the pick is between two strings, and you pick the string on the inside of the area between the two strings.

- Clean up my playing. It's a bit dirty at the moment.

To have mastered my blues scales in all the basic keys in Standard, Open D, Open G and Open E tuning. Also, to have mastered the basic techniques and stlyes of Robert Johnson, Son House and Muddy Waters slide playing. And if I do this with time left I will work on Elmore James' slide playing and after that either Joe Walsh and Billy Gibbons or start Duane Allman.
#30

Don't worry about rockschool not being as respected as other exams, my classical guitar grade still gets looked down on sometimes because it's Trinity Guildhall rather than Associated Board. There's always someone 'above' you in qualifications, what matters is how well you play
