Well, here's my setup so far:

Vox AC15

crappy Ibanez Gio HH

Digitech RP150

I want a good overdrive pedal with good midrange tone. I'm going to be playing both rhythm and lead, so I need clarity on that end, but I still want some classic rock crunch. Also, I am HOPING that in a couple of years (been playing for two) I can get a PRS Soapbar as well. I'm thinking along the lines of the Maxon OD9 (not the Ibanez TS), the BOSS SD-1 or OD-2, or a Big Muff. Here are some artists whose tones I like:

Mike Einziger, post-Morning View (as in, after he switched to Jazzmasters)
David Gilmour around Animals/The Wall
Mark Knopfler
Brian May, especially from Jazz to Innuendo, 70s is awesome, but not what I'm looking for....
Eddie Van Halen
Jonny Greenwood after the Bends

Thanks in advance....

OCD or a Jekyll and Hyde. And for the Brian May sound, he used a Treble Booster pedal, which can be pretty expensive. I think an EQ would work just as well tho.
