well, sort of anyway...

is use a script from dynamic drive ( This One ) on a website i have. i know its not the best or most secure scripts in the world, but it does the job that i need it to do.

the problem is, it gets a bit tedious having to re-enter the password and username every time you want to visit the page.

how would i go about setting some sort of cookie to allow people to visit the page again and again without re-entering the information?

how do those marshall handles compare tonewise to, say, mesa handles?

You want to be careful using cookies to set personal user information (like a password) because they can be intercepted by other scripts that can use that information for illegal purposes.

Anyway, it's a couple relatively simple Javascript calls, using the document.cookie object. I'll post a link in a minute.

EDIT: By the way, Google is your friend.

Here's a link that has a section down near the bottom that includes the scripts you need. Read the entire page, though, it's good to know what you're actually doing.

Good luck!
