imhaving trouble not just speed picking really fast

any tips playing this the right way?

the trick to this is to strum all the strings with your pick, but mute the ones that have the x's on them with your fretting hand... Its a bit tough, but if you can find a video of him doing it you will see what he is doing and it will make sense.

Personally I found this one a bit hard to play. What I did was learnt the rythm to pride and joy, which is a similar type of shuffle just slower. It made learning this much easier....

^ Seconded. Learn Pride and Joy before tacklin this. The pattern of palm muting and attacking can seem almost impossible at first, even in a slower song like Pride and Joy, let alone the immense Rude Mood.

Once you've nailed it though it's a very good technique. Gives your playing so much more attack if you so desire.
