I believe I've seen things like them, but I'm not sure. Are there strings that come coated in different colors, like orange, red, gold, green, blue, black, etc.? I've poked around a couple of sites and tried searching, but nothing really conclusive

Good for you. Have a cookie.

But really... there's no cookie. And if there was, you wouldn't get one.

They also look 2 to 3 times cooler than normal strings.

Too bad their performance doesn't justify the price...or quality.

I seen a Red JS1000 at a local guitar store about 2 weeks ago with red coated strings. It was killer looking.

The color only wears off where you pick.

The DR strings are expensive, but are the best coated strings out there.

Still can't match the performance of good old un-coated real strings...
