Whatcha guys think are these fake?

7 string JEM <pretty>

My favorite colors, and my favorite pickup setup ..... makes me wish it was mine lol. Seems extremly iffy sence he'll only except cashiers check or m/o

and also has anyone heard of this company?

O.o

added, IS it also true that you can't fit heavy strings into floyds? that they only take standards? and that you have to cut the ball off the string?

I wouldn't trust that...just based on the fact that he won't accept Paypal, and wants a money order. I'll only use paypal on eBay.

Yah i figured the jem was a scam... but I can dream *la la la* lol, it's a 7 string, with a floyd edge.... *drools all over monitor*

sound like a rip off for a 7 string jem sig but i guess it is old, maybe noone cares to bid for it. or maybe they are all thinking the same thing since its a no reserve. they can take any size string but you have to castrate any size string to make it fit

lol, Kk just making sure. A rip off? I thought that was a good price O.o but i don't know crap about Ibanez.... lol

It's a real UV, and the auction is legit. Five days left, and it'll sell for a very fair price.

If I was listing something I'd expect to go in the $1000 area, I wouldn't have taken paypal either, since I'd be giving fourty dollars to paypal off that transaction. No thanks.

I would do it.

154 feedback with 99.4% positive

He also sold a fender for 3399 and others for over 1000

He has probally made over 50K off of ebay

no way he is gonna screw you for 500 dollars.

10 bids by 9 different users with 5 days left on the auction? it should go up pretty high in price. he seems like a decent seller, and on a past auction he stated that he didn't want to use paypal owing to the fees, but he's also accepted paypal on some previous auctions..hmm..i'd say he's probably reliable but the price won't stay low. ask him to send you a photos of the serial number so you can check with ibanez if you want to be sure it's not a fake.

Exactly! This guy isnt on here selling 154 items including a 3400 dollar guitar * just to eventually try and rip someone off with a $1000 guitar

*thats just looking on the first couple feedback, he may have sold a 40,000 dollar guitar somewhere in there

Paypal takes a huge chunk of the money you make, so this way he's not losing any money.

People do it more often with pricey auctions.

Framus 2x12
Ibanez RG1570 - DM Breeds
Epi Les Paul - Warthog Pup

More often than not, people that accept Paypal pad the shipping rates so they can make back some of the money, so this works to your benefit.
#14
Lol, normally I check that, but it was late at night and stupidity took it's course. Also i've been riped off before with M/O's so I don't trust em, but at least nice to know it's a real ibanez. Which is nice.
#16
People make big deals over ebay.

Look at his feedback. 99.4% positive, that's great.

I do ebay alot, so I know what I'm talking about.

If the guy rips you off, he can get in serious trouble, so I say go for it.

Floyds are work best with 9's in standard tuning, if you want to use 10's you can but the guitar would need setting up for them. Anything higher is a no-no unless you're using a lower tuning. As far as ball ends go you need to either snip them off or string backwards, however Ibanez's Edge Pro will accomodate ball ends in the string locks.

Ah crap, may be a problem with me being that I like to use extremly heavy strings, Lol I like to use 12's, and still be able to have a standard tuning for when i'm praticing scales.

I wonder how the bid rate is going to change having posted it on these forums...

Lol, I really don't care, it's fair game. It already went out of my range, but i still wonder about the other one O.o but no one has any info on that
#21
checked the feedback... they have 156 positive and 1 negative feedback and they have sold some more expensive guitars than that in the last few weeks... seems kosher to me.

I'm sure the earliest UVs had Edge 7s rather than Lo-Pro 7s.

Or maybe that was just '90......
Yep, it's the '90. In 91, the LoPro was massively injected into the lineup for the Vai line, S and R. And it went downhill since then. *

* no, really, just kidding - lopros are great
