So, im wondering if vintage 30´s will sound good with my Marshall SL-X...

I play mostly Hard rock, hair metal, metal, trash metal and heavier stuff...

Found this:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_g412a_vintage.htm

I know harley benton is teh crap of the crap but after all, it got vintage 30´s in it.

That one costs 3300 Swedish Sek. If you only buy the celestions, you´ll have to pay at least 4500 Sek... So? Suggestions

I seriously doubt that a well respected company like Thomann would do such things. I'm sure they are just buying thousands of V30 for like £10 each or something.

Buy one and if the cab is total crap you can always buy an empty cab or a used cab with shoddy speakers used for dirt cheap and throw the celestions in there.

Buy a Framus instead. It's higher quality, and costs more than the separate speakers.

Harley Benton stuff isn't the worst of the worst, you actually get alot for what you pay in all their products. You can't go wrong with that cab as you can always build yourself a custom empty cab at a later date with nicer wood and such and wack those bargain V30's in it.

So i'll buy one? Rip of the harley logo.
If the wood is crap, I build a new one made of like 20mm MDF instead?

Btw. It WILL sound better than my valvestate box right...?

The wood is not the best, but that's real vintage 30's inside so it's a great deal.

It's probably made of MDF already. Plywood is a lot better.

I'd be safe and buy the Framus one. Probably much better construction, and I think you can make them half open back if you want. Looks better too.

Don't use MDF if you decide to make a cab.
