Umm... Hi. I just want to know how i can get a blink-182 sound off my amp. My amp has many effects and i also have a distortion pedal. I also have a fender telecaster and a Les Paul. What's the best way to get my guitar to sound like Tom Delonge? Thanks.

I have his signature strat Id sell you the real one not the crappy squire. He used a mesa boogie dual rectifier(I think either that or a triple rectifier) and a marshall jcm 900(the reason i bought one). You can probably get the sound with decent humbucker and a very low distortion.

Well, there are a couple ways to do this:
1) Strangle multiple coyotes while eating live animals
2) Drop guitar from high building, in this case you would want to makes sure it is 20 + stories
3) Listen to the guy above me, because I am being a smartass.....well....trying....

It's a digitech Death metal but its not like death metal. you can play around with the knobs on there and make it sound like ramones or something

i had the death metal along time ago. well about a year and a half ago. i regret it. but theres a settings thread up aht the top of this forum. try the settings there on your amp

anything where the gain is "turned to 11 and broken off" isnt going to sound good.

^ speak for yourself. some people actually like their distortion to sound like a million animals dying. subjectivity for ya. FWIW i thought it was a cool sound for really industrial type things and it sounded GREAT with a bass guitar.

^ oh my bad i forgot tone was subjective. so i shouldve said "IMHO i think anything with dimed gain sounds like mudd!" i like some gain but not tons. well i didnt like the sound of dying cows, when i got the pedal. i was just a noob and thought the more pedals you had the bigger penis you have also. so if you like the sound of it then by all means just mess with the volume control till you get in dialed in right

Don't use that pedal.

Its just simple with you gear, turn on your distortion channel and dial in a nice distortion, roll the mids off a bit (A BIT, DONT SCOOP THEM COMPLETELY). With you guitar use the bridge pickup, volume 10, tone 10.

If you already did that and you want a better sound, then buy better gear. Most likely by the time you can afford better gear you won't like blink that much anymore =).

the secret to blink tone lies in the pickups. his signature fender has a duncan invader which has a really bright sound. on the last blink record and with angels & airwaves he uses a gibson dirty fingers pickup.
