Well I have googled 'Mechanics Lien' and it only really spoke about the people who were having liens put on there property(yeah it a construction thing not a car thing).

I have recently completed a construction job, a rather large one at that, and i'm having problems collecting the final payment. Does anyone know what a 'Mechanics lien' can offer me. I read that if the property is ever sold they would have to clear the debt with me first to complete the sell(if the lien is in place), but this place is a business and they are not ever gonna sell their place.

So since they are never gonna sell the property does that mean i'm pretty much screwed on my final payment? They can afford much more expensive lawyers than i just so you know.

Yeah i know this is so the wrong place to ask this question, but i like this site, so maybe one of y'all legal students(i'm sure there are some of you out there) would offer me some information.

It depends on where you live and the amounts involved but you could see if there is a small claims court in your jurisdiction. These can provide quick legal remedies usually not requiring you to have a lawyer and keeping costs down.

Unfortionately my claim exceeds small claims court. I have other arbitration options, but thats what they want. They want to drag it out to where it actually cost me more to continue and i just cut my losses.

You should try to get Dirk Gently's attention, he's UGs Legal Eagle; I'm not sure what his field is though.
Is it a bad thing if one of your testicles is larger then the other two?

Was it real estate, or am I just imagining that for some reason?

Edit: Dirk Gently is your best bet, being a lawyer, closely followed by Caignus... well not really 'closely' but closer than most other UG'ers as he's a law student

It was a large remodel of a Long Term Care Nursing Home.

And i was hopping Dirk might see this thread. I didn't want to hassle him though. Figured it would be more appropriate if he just saw the thread and decided to check it out himself.
