Will this work? Apart from looks, that being a slight gap in between each 3 set, I don't see why it wouldn't but I've been surprised about things like this in the past.

So the 3 higher ones may have slight tuning issues then?

No, they go on and they work just fine.

Problem is, 3 are offset to the left, and three are offset to the right.

You end up with a big gap between tuner 3 & 4, and it looks stupid.

We did this to my friends beater guitar and we called it Bucky.

I knew the gap would be there but I figured they'd be better than what's on there (stock Squier). The ones that are on there aren't bad and it's a hardtail so the tuning is no issue at all. I just have spare Grovers laying around and can't help but think they should be on that guitar at least.

Never thought of that, but it's a Fender style headstock so it would look a bit weird. Then again the current idea looks wierd too but yeah.

Sure, reshape it. It would be original.

The other problem I forgot to mention is that they turn in opposite directions. If you string them all the same way, you will have to turn three backwards to tune it.

That thought never crossed my mind...I just tried it out. I guess I'll just try trading these for a set of 6 line tuners or something. I like the headstock shaping idea but I really like the Fender headstock as it is so I couldn't bring myself to cut it up.
