Okay i'm using a casio scientific calculator and i'm currently working with ionisation energies

Because they're large and i need to fit them on a graph, we've been referred to a textbook that has them with the numbers in the form of Log[subscript]10

How can i get the log on my calc/work it out?

the log[subscript]10 is generally called the log

if you see an un-subscripted log, like on your calculator, it is log base 10

There should be a button that says "Log" or "Log X" on it. If it has no subscript, it almost always means base 10.

If there is no button try the catalog.

Ahh thank you! I was under the understanding that i had to somehow insert the base after the log, but obviosly not, thank you =]
