Ok, well, my Frontman sh*t itself, its buggered, and I don't plan to get it fixed because I hate it with a passion

So, i'm looking for a new amp, preferably under $1000AU, I play mostly metal (Metallica, Megadeth, early Ozzy, Iron Maiden etc), but i do like to play a little bit of classic rock and blues. So basically, i'm looking for something that has some nice thick distortion, with some decent cleans aswell. I'm not fussy about Tubes or Solid-State, just something to get the job done. I've been looking at the Peavey Valveking, but heard it doesn't do metal as much as i'd like it to, same with the Vox Valvetronix series, but I have heard good things about the Roland Cubes.
Any Help Appreciated
