I think they would however wouldn't it be cheaper to buy it in the UK then you won't have stupid shipping and import taxes.

That's all right, Have you tried it out yet? Because cheap-end Epiphones are not very desirable

And it is extremely good value, I'd recommend trying them both out before you spend cash, Also which ever you get you might have to think about buying some hotter pickups, The ones in the Epiphone sound worse than wet cardboard.

It's not really for me, it's for a friend who got tired of playing acoustic (he's still a beginner) and since he plays a lot of classic rock type stuff I suggested an Epiphone. It's reviews looked rather good, to be honest.

Do you recommend the SG then?
