Looking for something that I can record a sample of as long as possible, and then loop it indefinitely.

Is this available on delay pedals, or do I need something else. Sampler? Loop pedal?

Line 6 DL4 is probably what you need. Does all kinds of delay modeling plus has a looper.

the boss loop station owns them all for the price, its so easy to use and it has really useful features.

Well, in my own searches for a delay pedal, I've found most will only delay for about four seconds max and don't go on forever, which I don't think would work as a tape loop effect. You'd need some sort of dedicated sampling effect or digital tape loop thingie.

Delays only have like 4 seconds of recording but as far as I remember the Boss RC-2 loop station has 16 minutes with a drum machine and tap tempo.
