EMG's might work for something harder, like more modern metal. For AC/DC and VH, id definately have to say Duncans.

for what you play, i'd say duncans out of those two, but you need to tell us your budget, where you are (affects prices), what your guitar is, and what your amp is.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

AC/DC have a very different tone as opposed to Van Halen. AC/DC is relatively low gain..

but same kind of tone is needed from the pickups. it's how u set the all-tube marshalls.
Call me "Shot".

i agree. both are vintage marshalls, both are bright, slightly hotter than paf pickups. just VH is the marshall on 10, while /dc is it on about 5.

(they may have used different marshall models, of course, but it's the same ballpark)
