So, last night I was a bit depressed, and so I got my iPod and started looking around for sad, soulful songs when I realized, I don't have nearly enough. The ones I usually listen to in this mood are:

Blue-Yngwie Malmsteen
I Smell a Rat-Buddy Guy
Ain't No Sunshine When She's gone-Buddy Guy
Riveria Paradise-Stevie Ray Vaughan
Bleeding Me-Metallica
Outlaw Torn-Metallica
Fade to Black-Metallica
Life By the Drop-Stevie Ray Vaughan
Maggotbrain-Funkadelic (staple)
Sultans of Swing-Dire Straits
For the Love of God-Steve Vai

That's all that come to mind...So I ask you, the Pit, what are some particularly slow, sad songs? The reason I post this in the pit instead of the appropriated genre communities is because as long as it's not rap, any genre is fine.

So, help me out.

People don't like Dave Mustaine because he created something that owned Metallica in just about every single aspect of thrash metal.

I don't find Sultans of Swing to be depressing.

Me either, but I like the mellow-ness of it. More laid back than a lot of other songs, and god damn I love that solo.

Pfft, people listen to depressing song to exorcise their depression.

Exactly : ). And cheerful songs just piss me off when I'm depressed. You know, the usual whole shallow routine of "Why the hell are they happy when I'm not?!".

Not really, they just fit the mood better is all.
