Hey is it bad to use a standard guitar cable to connect your amp and cabinet. Is there other types of cables you should use

instrument cable can't withstand the power being fed through them from your amp. iono the consequences, but just go get a speaker cable.

Compare a speaker cable to a guitar cable. Speaker cables will generally be thicker, and shorter, in order to handle the extra current and heat. open up the ends, the connections will be different (i believe so anyway) Sometimes, instrument cables can get hot, not be decent enough to handle the current, and apparently they can melt too.

Isn't it fun learning from these forums?
