The Polyphonic Spree are sort of psychadelic pop revival and they have a lot of members. I think the number changes but it's around 20.

i heard of a metal band called dublin death patrol once, and i think i read that they had like 12 people in the band. i've also heard rammstein has a bunch of people in it.

a lot of those southern rock bands like lynyrd skynyrd and the allman brothers band have a lot of people. skynyrd has like 3 guitarists, and i think ABB has 3 as well.
#13
bang camaro has about 15 vocalists, plus guitar bass drums etc
Trans-Siberian Orchestra isn't really rock, but there is a lot of band members
#15
doesnt slipknot have like 2 guitarist, a bassist, a drummer, two percussionist (sp?) and a vocalist
#16
Bang Camaro, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Iron maiden has had a lot of past members.

My band (including past members) has had 5 guitarists, one drummer, 9 bassists or so, and three vocalists. The drummer and i are the only remaining original members. But our current lineup is just four people. One Guitar, One Bass, One drummer, and One lead vocalist(although the drummer and I step in for backup and 2nd lead occasionally).

Not bad for a band with a tool, rush, RHCP, The Who and Bad Religion fetish

uh, what band is this?
#35
Hmm... Dimmu Borgir used an entire orchestra on their album Death Cult Armageddon, I believe that was. You can also count the Trans- Siberian Orchestra, they do make Christmas time sound a lil' more badass. Basically anytime a rock/ metal group joins with an orchestra: Yngwie, Metallica, etc. As far as just plain having a large number of people in a band: Slipknot... that's all that really stands out.

Steely Dan.

They only have 2 permanent members: Walter Becker and Donald Fagen. But if you include everyone who has ever played in that band, the list goes on for miles.
