Im practicing some metronome exercises... you know the 1-2-3-4 kind.
I can do them easily on the E strings, but when doing them in the middle strings, like say the 4th string, i end up hitting all the other strings and it sounds like garbage.

Advice?

Practice.
Don't lift your pick up too far from the strings so you can kind of keep track where the pick is better.

Yeah just start doing it slowly at a speed where it's flawless, then speed it up little by little.

^ its the thing that basically goes *click* *click* at a certain speed to keep you in time. Like what drums do.

is the answer not obvious?! if you are playing basketball you keep missing shots then what do you do? you just keep practicing till you start making shots.

it takes some time to learn but after a while it will become natural. i did the same thing at first but now i dont even have to think about what string i am hitting, i just think about the note
they call og or nothing at all!!
