It might help if you told us what guitar you're looking at.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

id reccomend going to a guitarcenter or something and checking out similiar epiphone sg's if youre worrying about the neck. im not a huge fan about the maestro trem or 3 pups.

umm im still a beginner so the things I can play and would like to play would be barely any punk and metal and old rock

The neck is bigger than most guitars. I found my G400s neck very comfortable, but I do mostly rhythm/chord work and I have big hands.

sobeisbull is right, 3 pickups are an exageration, with 2 its enough. and the maestro wont be like a fender trem or a floyd. i sugest to get a normal epi SG and put a khaler trem on it or an ESP LTD Viper-400 or 1000

if you are a begginer, maybe a viper 200 or 100. dont go for the brands man. some dudes see SQUIER by FENDER and say !!¡OMG! Fender at 100 USD¡¡¡ and buy that piece of ass. try other brands. i'm not saying that epi's arebad guitars, but getting a trem in your first guitar isnt smart. you should better get this

and a nice amp like vox or roland, but dont get a marshall MG or fender Frontman
