hey i have been thinking about buying a guitar with a folyd rose and taking pick ups out... what pickups are good for metal i was thinking EMG 81s or the Dimebucker but that is all i have come up with any other really great ones for metal???

also is this
Ibanez Guitar with floyd rose good for gutting??? its cheap but is the floyd rose on it good?

Don't bother changing the pickups. EMGs aren't going to drive that amp like they're designed to, and the Dimebucker is ****e.

hey dude i love playin metal i aint that good at it but...
i put a sh-4 in my bridge and the palm mutes are ridiculously awesome...
its also good for that punk and jazz stuff.. police, jamiroquai(lol).

anyways i heard emg have the best metal tone although i hear u can only get metalout of them, good luck .

I myself am a fan of Mighty Mite Motherbuckers. Check eBay for them, they are not hard to find there new.

a.)CHEAP (as in price USD, around $35-$50 a PAIR, got mine new for $40 shipped)
b.)stupid amounts of gain (21k bridge , 17k neck)
c.)passive
d.)little to no hum if installed right.
e.)due to b, way more than enough gain to clean up with a coil-tap.
