Is it possible to put a second volume knobs in an ESP LTD Viper 400 (I'm switching the EMG 85 to an 89) that only has one master volume? If so, is it a good idea to have a hole drilled into the control cavity for it (I'm not doing it myself, I would have a professional do it)?

Ok thanks. I just posted the new thread to show more detail. If I wanted to just keep the 85, though, how many Kohms would the new pot have to be?

25k are the ones you'll want. They're the standard for active pickups. Hell, they're what EMG supplies with their pickups.
