Not really, the Mustang doesnt have nearly the collector value that the Stratocaster or Telecaster does.

oh ok. thats my lesson for teh day lol.
but yeah, sounds like im saving up for an old fender mustang.
i really like those guitars, and if when theyre old, they are cheaper than the strats and teles, im so there.

Fender built the Mustang as an inexpensive beginer instrument and they just never gained the popularity thet the Strat, Tele, Jaguar, and Jazzmaster possesed. However, they are pretty neat guitars (I love mine to death)--it gets a lot of "What the hell is that thing?" looks.

I love the white with the tortoise pg. Just like my strat. But the mustang is 5 times sexier than my strat.

Well its a rare pre-cbs mustang, but even with that i wouldnt pay $2000. They usually go for around $1500 depending on the condition.

I agree. I would say he can get around $1250 for it, maybe $1500 if you happen to get someone who just wants it badly.

apparently the bridge rattles like a bitch.

Thats bull. Ive played more mustangs that any other guitar, and ive owned 2 and none of them rattle what so ever. Unless if the idiot strung it up wrong, then i seriously doubt it.
