I had to pull one of my machine heads apart the other day & replace the cog in it + it needs new pins and a new insert for the bridge
but its still my second most played guitar

Mine was £300.
But before that I borrowed my brothers guitar every now and then to learn, and then I borrowed my cousins acoustic which was crap, so after I knew I liked guitar I bought my first one.
#21
Mine was given to me for christmas, I think it was 150 USD [Yamaha EG-112c strat copy]
#22
Like... 1200 or so.. Something like that. I learned to play on my dad's guitar, the first one I actually bought was my Gibson SG. And no, I wasn't a spoiled kid, I paid for it with my own money.

I love you =] I can't say I was very fond of you when we first started talking because you trolled the hell out of my threads, but after talking to you here I've grown very attached to you.

Yeah, write to my fanclub about it, honey.

My first instrument was a bass cause i play the bass. And it was a crappy Fender Squier J Bass. But my first GUITAR was a no name brand $100 ebay guitar. I changed the strings and it sounded fine! I still have it and use it for gigs no one says it sounds bad.

In most cases its the quality of the amp more than the guitar, you can set cheap guitars up to play well!

Dude I got these strings the other day that couldn't be tuned to higher than 4 octaves below middle C then I realized that they were shoelaces and they weren't making any sound at all.

Epiphone Les Paul Special - £120
Still got it too. Apart from it going out of tune so often, it doesn't sound too bad.

After a quick conversions from euros to dollars - $200-300. I think it was €160. That's my first electric. My first guitar was a 3/4 size spanish/classical type guitar that my cousin gave me.

EDIT: Forgot to say - It was an Epiphone Les Paul Special.

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...

uuuhhhh.... FIRST ACT stratocaster it had a really nice black an brown sunburst. it was $90 or less for the starter pack, came w/ extra strings, and a lil amp that sounds like ur playing thru a Nintendo lol. but i still got it all. has ONE humbucker w/ ONE volume knob....not versatile. but as far as soung goes.....Average. it wasn't as bad as a squire and it made it sound decent. now its got a custom paint job and needs repair. it hides under my bed and whenever emo kids get within 5 feet of it, he pulls them under and melts them down into Emo Soup. a birthday gift that keeps givin

My dad shared his Gibson SG with me, until I bought myself a Squire Strat. So, I don't know which would be my first. His SG is worth around $2600 I think. Don't know how much I payed for the Squire.
