ok so i just bought a JCM900 head, but i don't have a cab yet, my question is, do you have to run a JCM900 cab with it or can i use a JCM800 lead cab? wats the difference between the two? can they be used on either head? thanks

They're both 1960 Lead cabs... so both will do. There are very minor differences, and are probably both loaded with Celestions G12T-75's.

if you get the 1960 i strongly recommend you do the mods hear as Marshall's quality control is a bit shabby and it will improve your tone

however if your no wanting to mess with all that then it should still be fine, but if you think you can handle it again, i recommend.

...for the gigs im going to be playing its going to be 60% tone and 40% stage look, and I'd like the look of my rig to be able to back up its sound.
