I rewired my strat but screwed up. All the wiring diagrams I found have this switch digram:



But on my guitar, all the lugs are on one side...

How do I wire an HSS Strat with my type of 5-way switch.

EDIT: I think I found the problem, I might have wires the humbucker ground to the switch, and the hot wire to the ground...

Never mind, good to see that you solved the problem.

Oh and EC, they do. On Starcasters they do. I had one from when I was a begginer and sure enough, it had one.

which kind of switch? the switch that TS posted he said wasn't the one. so it should be the cheapo switch. but the other guy posted the seymour duncan website and another guy guitarelectronics.com, they only have the standard 5-way switch, which is the one TS posted.

so my statement stands. and i believe he has a squier too. not a starcaster.
