Now running an Eleven Rack with Pro Tools 10.3.3 - it's amazing and I'm having ball with it - worth every penny. PT 10 is tops IMO and the Eleven Rack is a work of art!
#14
And so insanely overpriced. I wouldn't pay more than $20 bucks for that, no matter how cute it is.

here's the link:

Check out the sound demos - they sound pretty awesome. I'd plug that sucker into my Mac's LINE IN (from the headphone out) and into my DAW software (Logic Pro).

I actually might have to get one of these. I want something I could plug headphones into and the clips sound pretty good. I want the classic rock...or maybe the AC-30...Depending on if they have controls or if it is just plug and go.

yeah i think u'd need to buy an adapter.^ and then it wouldnt be as cute or as stable in the jack.

AC30s are affordable. You can get a CC2 for £549 off GAK, which seems like good value for money to me.

Anyway, back on topic, £40 or so is too much I think. £25? Yeah, fair enough. But £40...I'd rather get myself a BYOC kit and have just as much fun.
#35
if they had controls it'd be great, but they don't so outside of your guitars controls your stuck with one sound, better off with a multi effects pedal of some sort

that was my immediate thought - won't fit in a stratocaster jack = fail imo. Still, they are probably quite good, especially for $70 (£35-ish, but even though vox are a british company, they will probably be about £60 here...)

they do seem to sound pretty good though. also stormbringer, i think they do have controls, little roller pots it looks like.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

edit: splendid news, they are on sale on thomann.de and the description is

VOX AMPLUG AC30

VOX AMplug AC30, compact Headphone Amp, intergratet 6,3 mm Jack for direct E-Guitar Connection, Aux-In for MP3 Player, Controls for Gain/Tone/Volume, Power upt to 15 hours with 2 x AAA Batteries (included), Dimensions WHD: 86 x 31 x 80 mm, Weight: 40 Gramm

gain tone and volume controls. yayness in your anus

and only £28 (+£7 shipping) so £35 for them, UK arent getting majorly ripped off
