what kind of metal/hard core? like, tr00 nile/necrphagist ****? or more along the lines of job for a cowboy/cattle decapitation?

any specific bands? any songs with tone that particularly stands out to you?

on the cheap, you'd have some money to spare, check a used 5150 or 6505 and get a really nice cab. i love mesa for cabs. you could swing a used ENGL Powerball, Krank are a lot better than the rep they get. Mesa Mark IV is a beast of an amp, does everything too. mesa single recto is good. if you're more into smoother more refined, and yet brutal sound, check out laney.

you have a lot of options.

check out a used Engl Fireball/Powerball or just go with a 6505/5150...

as for a cab, pretty much anything with V30s should be good, Mesa is high end, really good cabs, Engl cabinets are really really good too (but expensive)

I had a chance to play an ENGL Powerball in anger a few days ago, and I can honestly say it blows any other high gain amp I've played out of the water, with the exception of the Framus Cobra and Diezel Herbert. Definitely give it a try if you havn't already.

...and justice for all mostly. basically lots of fast riffs and heavy breakdowns, either drop D of drop C.

Is this a good option for the fireball?

EDIT: I cannot order a Crank from where I live..don`t have a good credit card for online shopping xD

Try Krank - they make some really good stuff.

As everyone's mentioned, ENGL and Framus are supposed to be good also.

If you must get a 5150/6505, do so but if you can afford something with a more distinctive tone, do it.
