i picked up an ibanez today and noticed that the strings were further apart than on my guitar which is an epiphone sg, are all epi's going to have the same width neck or is there variation, i ask because i liked the further strings but i would like to get another epiphone

Ibanez's generally have a lower actions (closer distance between string and fret) What is it about Epiphones that you like?

that's because epi's have thicker necks than ibanez guitars

ok i think some may have misunderstood its not the action im talking about its the actualt distance from one string to another, like from the e down to the a. i cant find it on specs anywhere.

and for the post right above me, i think you mean the opposite ibanez have thicker necks because the strings are further apart, right?
