Yo. It's me again. Tell Me: will there be a guitar hero 4? cause i just found that there might be a completely zeppelin Guitar Hero! Imagine that! 30 or 40 tracks of completely zeppelin! the same is said for Pink Floyd and AC/DC. so... what do you think? A hoax meant to get all them zeppelin fans' hopes up, or a real awesome leak from the producers themselves? tell me. PM me. Post it. Just tell me what you think, cause it's really bothering me.

Zeppelin never let anyone use their music. School of rock was the first exception. I doubt they'll let them use it, especially not Stairway.

You know, in the international version of Wayne's World, they had to change the notes Wayne plays at the guitar shop, due to copyright restrictions.

Yes, Led Zeppelin owns those 5 notes. They would probably have copyrighted the first four, but you can't copyright the A Minor chord.
#4
probably not, but i dont want it there, id much rather a fun song like black dog or rock and roll. But that list looks awesome.

Ha, I so doubt it. Led Zeppelin is so strict with who can use their stuff, and they sue over the smallest infraction. Which is odd considering of few of their most famouse songs are basically rip offs. IE The Crunge.
#8
why do they always pick the bad black sabbath songs. i mean paranoid and Iron Man are good songs, but not for a guitar video game, they need one with more guitar, like Killing youself to live or sabbath bloody sabbath.
#9
you'd think if plenty of other bands are putting songs on guitar hero so would led zeppelin, it just makes them look... overprotective?
#10
i hope stairway is not on GH3, but i wouldn't mind having some zeppelin on it. probably won't happen though...

"Stairway" would be boring to play on GH. =/

And, yea, probably. I would count on it being on the game.

hunting for witches would have been much better than helicopter se

and I doubt LZ will let anyone use stairway though

KoC is a horrible muse song to put on the game, it's hardly got any guitar in it...
#15
No, i doubt it. Can I ask why no dream theater or unearth or opeth is on there.

It gas a good bit of guitar.

And they'll more than likely let you play the keys in some parts.

That's actually the #1 song I'm looking forward to. I saw a bit of footage of it during G4's E3 coverage. It looks awesome.

Because they're 100 miles from mainstream and these games are aimed at your average music fan who doesn't listen to underground metal bands.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Confused? Good.

What?! The whole intro is one giant two minute guitar solo! Then there's the Zeppelin-esque riff at the end. There's plenty of guitar.

But Hunting For Witches would've been a better Bloc Party song to use.

While you're right about it being sold to the people who are more mainstream, there's still room for Opeth, Dream Theater, etc.

I mean, look at the songs on this one. A bunch of those are bands that not everyone knows.

Hell, I believe that if Lacuna Coil gets a song (which is SOOO kickass), that DT, Opeth, etc. should get songs on one of the next games.

although it sounds nice, its merely finger picking. also, theres alot of repitition.

i would expect them to use something like Rock and Roll or communication breakdown.

Jesus, imagines 'Through the fire and flames' on expert

And they could of picked a much better In Flames or Metallica song. However, Number of the Beast was a good choice, even if it isn't my favorite maiden song.
Bulls on Parade will be nice and fun.

He plays it all with a pick. There's a huge alternate picking section. And I know it's not particularly difficult, but would that make a difference on GH? No.

Haha. Well I don't listen to Opeth because I don't like the death vocals and I listen to Pantera and Trivium (borderline death vocals). So imagine the audience reaction to Opeth. Whereas Lacuna Coil have a melodic female voice and will appeal in some way to the mainstream crowd.

Dream Theater probably could just about make it in on music style, but imagine trying to play a DT song on GH? And would you spend over 10 minutes trying to crack Glass Prison?

how the hell are we supposed to do the bulls on parade solo!?

I was thinking that exact thing. Maybe scratch the controller or beat the headstock off? *shrug

Some of these songs are nice, others are crummy, and alot of them I have never even heard. I'm glad to see RHCP make an appearance, as well as Queens of the Stone Age. + Barracuda is a far better song than Crazy On You.

I would personally love to see some Mastodon on GH3. Crystal Skull or Blood and Thunder would be awesome.

Oh man, even tho it will never happen, Moby Dick would be perfect, except for the minute long drum solo Maybe make Jimmy jam a solo on top of that? Or just shorten in down (Even tho that would be blasphemy.)
