hey my name is zaine. i am new to UG and guitar. i know how to play a little part of smoke on the water and the intro to beast and the harlot. Are there some good starter songs for me to play....or should i learn the chords(notes) first or what???

Plz help me cuz i am lost and dont know what to do

learn as many chords as you can.i try to learn at least 2 a day.then,do some four finger exercises,which if you don't know what those are you should definitely look up,and then just play what you like.nirvana is always good for starting,and you could try for some zeppelin.

well. learn some basic open chords, G ,A , D, E , C, learn the major and minor

learn what a bar chord is, such as F

most important, learn what a power chord is.


do finger exercises to make you able to shred eventually

learn as many songs as possible, in different genres too.

and practice memorizing chords, and switching from one chord to another

Oh. The first one's that I learned were D, A, C, G, E, Em. I had a chord chart and picked the easiest looking chords.
