Dio has some fun riffs to play. Teach you how metal oldschool kicks it as well.
'Rainbow in the Dark'
'Stand up and Shout'
'Holy Diver' (just an awsome song)

Gyroscope or Episode 666 by In Flames...they're pretty heavy but fun and not too hard to play. Nice riffs and fairly simple but cool sounding leads.

Bit of advice, if your a beginner. If the tabs look like a mountain range, you're not ready for it.

My favourite riffs right now are the machine gun section of One and the intro/chorus to Redneck by Lamb of God; both of 'em are easy as hell and great for rocking out to.
