I'm looking to buy an old ampeg b-40 I think it is, 4x10 bass cab that they have for $300. My question is, it's got an old 4 pin plug on the back and was wondering if I could put a 1/4 input jack on the back in order to work with a svt3 pro head? He told me that if I could get it work, he'd drop the price some too. What do you guys think?

You should be able to. Youll have to take apart the old plug and resolder the wires onto a normal 1/4 inch jack.

yea that's what I was planning on doing, but I wanted to see if anyone ever did this or if it could even be done.

Thanks man!

well I got the old plug out and the new input jack in and the cab works great. Anyone have any idea how old a b-40 cab is? The serial # is 71020
