tacoma thunderchief?

/thread

Mic Todd plays one so it must be the perfect acoustic bass.

Actually, was't there a BOTM a few months back of a really awesome acoustic bass with an offset soundhole that wasn't a Thunderchief?

It was the Thunderchief in that BOTM. It's the only ABG worth playing. That Warwick is short-scale and is, oh, 3 times the price of the Tacoma.

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..

Oh, my glasses weren't on and I misread it. I thought you were saying it wasn't the Thuderchief.

But yes, the Tacoma has a patented bracing system which results in it's loud tone. The Warwick may have something similar, but it's price and 32" scale are major disadvantages over the Tacoma.
