My favourite band and biggest influence ever. They're often called Goregrind or regular Death metal, whatever you want to call it, either way I freaking love them. They're horror movies in music form. Sleazy, grimey, gore filled horror movies that make you feel dirty having seen them, I love it.
They've disbanded unfortunately, so there are but two albums, a google will turn up their myspace if you want to have a listen.
Am I the only person who knows these guys exist(ed)? ;_;

No no, you're not the only one who knows of them. An ex-girlfriend of mine showed me them. Sorry buddy, but I don't like them. But atleast you know now you're not the only one who knows of them?

Hmm, perhaps I should be introduced to this individual.

Death Metal is on its way to being dead....its bands like this that do it...

No originality, just heavy fast powerchords, growls, gurgles, and the same drum beats.

Bands like this with just "gore" and all that **** are putting death metal into its "grave"

And dont think I'm being ignorant. I'm not. There still are some great death metal bands out there with their own sound...Necrophagist, Black Dahlia, Decapitated....but this gore stuff is all the same....

Does anyone agree with me?

Never call BDM a great death metal band, because they arent even close. You tried to make a good point but failed. As much as I love Decapitated, they arent as good as Vader, Hate, Nomad, or Dies Irae, the great bands hailing from Poland. If Decapitated wouldnt have put out that piece of trash, OH, with a horrible vocalist then they would be much better. But yes all this gore **** is pathetic. The only bands worth while are Impaled, Exhumed, and Engorged

No....I just dont like gore ****. Its unoriginal, dumb, and doesnt exhibit enough talent IMO to be considered good.

I disagree about the Gore stuff. Yeah it all sounds pretty similar to a certain extent, but I don't think it's "putting death metal in its grave". It's pretty easy to be unoriginal in Slam Death etc, but the bands that do it well are good fun to listen to on occassion.

To whoever said Exhumed those guys are awesome to, that opening riff to Vagitarian II is ****ing sick.
And Necrophagist is great too. but to the guy who said they're just powerchords etc, that isn't true, these guys have some killer leads and solos in alot of their songs.
And just because one band isn't performing the technical bizarrity of necrophagist doesn't mean its the end of death metal.
There's nothing wrong with the gore stuff and just because you don't like it doesn't mean it doesn't exhibit talent. They write awesome ****ing riffs even if they might be mainly powerchords so shut the **** up and get out of my thread.

Way to come across as a dickhead. Its not your band, let others express their opinions. This is not a "Lord Gore Fellation Thread (Opinions Prohibited!)" thread.

Yeah that last part may have been a bit much, jsut tired of people who are always saying metal (of any kind) is just screaming etc etc, its annoying as hell.

I never said its just screaming, or that Necrophagist sucks...Im a Phagist-fellator hahahaha

Im saying this gore **** is kind of sucking the creativity out of a lot of bands.

I mean, exhumed is decent but there are some bands that are just...lame. They may have a sweet kickass riff here and there, but for them to do that gore **** on top of it...well its just lame and cliche.

There are still good gore bands...i.e. Impaled. But others are just not original...and I dont want to listen to two different bands and think Im listening to the same thing. Gore needs to just end...its stupid.

I dont mind them at all. They were one of the early gore bands. They were one of the firsts, among Carcass and Death...influenced by them I guess. I think it gets old but, then I again, I cant expect much else from them lyrically.

Great band, really catchy and brutal. Also their vocalist is by far one of the best in all of death metal. People need to stop raging on the gore bands. Not everything has to be all technical and different from everything else . Good brutal Goregrind is awesome. And also anyone hear who knows anything about death metal in general would know that not that many bands sound much like Lord Gore. If you want to talk about uncreative death metal, make a six feet under thread or something.

These guys had two vocalists for first album and one left for the second album.
One did those high pitched ones and the other did the low growls for the first album, high pitched one left so the other dude had to do both for second album.

Also, isn't goregrind grindcore with gore lyrics? This stuff didn't sound very grindcore-y
#23
Not really,Goregrind generally has a large Death Metal influence every since it's 2nd wave or so.It's more the simplistic punky vibe.I've been blasting this band after a long time of ignoring them.Crushing and catchy make for a good mix.

I've only listened to a few of the songs from these guy's while I was in Highschool. I find Rape Camp pretty amusing. Slowly grew out of anything to do with Grindcore and it's sub-genres. Trying to remember what Pornogrind band's I found that we're pretty decent.
