My budget is about £70, and i want a versatile pedal for anything from classic rock to death metal.

Suggestions?

maybe a boss ds-1, but ive heard it sucks, so you could get maybe a big muff and an overdrive pedal for lower distortion tones

i have the DS-1, and love it, plus its really really cheap($40 USD), so you could get something else too.

Boss DS-1

Boss DS-1 , Pro Co Rat, MXR Distortion III. I wouldn't go with the Big Muff, it's one of those pedals that have a unique tone and dont cover the broad range. The rest would see you fine though.
