Guess people really aren't appreciating the whole 'solo' aspect.

Anyway, Stu Hamm's famous youtube bass solo's available in powertab form on this website. Literally look up Stu Hamm bass solo.

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..

+1, the guy means songs with just bass, not bass solos.

Stu Hamm does a great version of The Star Spangled Banner.

If you mean solo bass song as in just bass and vocals, check out 'What It Is' by RHCP

Check out Marcus Miller.
Their are other instruments, but they're just backing him up.
A few nice ones to start with will be:
Frankenstein
Power
Moonlight Sonata

Also try Barbary Coast by Jaco, nice track.
For long you live and high you fly
But only if you ride the tide
And balanced on the biggest wave
You race toward an early grave.

Increasing in difficulty:

Anesthesia - Metallica
NIB- Black Sabbath
Tommy the cat - Primus (not solo but you have to learn something by primus)
Me and my bass guitar - Victor Wooten ( not exactly solo but challenging slap/tap line)
Solar Groove - Myung
Moonlight sonata - Marcus Miller
Moonlight Sonata - Stu Hamm (far better than miller's in my opinion)

And now the really good ones:

Scarified - Raxer X (instrumental - two bass solos included)
Quahogs, anyone? - Stu Hamm (you ll never master it completely )
Classical thump by Wooten (still working on that one )

And my personal favourite which SHOULD allready be mentioned, an awesome bass solo, really melodic, tough in parts and really challenging to master, the only one you can actually play in a non-bassist/guitarist crowd and be appreciated:

Donna Lee - Jaco pastorius

And there is allways the option of getting tabs for guitar solos, tabbing them for bass (thank god for guitar pro) and playing them to annoy your bands guitarist
Nice ones to start are mozart's turkish march and malmsteen's fuguetta
This is the greatest bassist of all times!
(Hopefully)

There are some things in life that are universally "good":

Sex, pizza, the smell of fresh washing and slap bass.
