go with the newest. the original is severely overpriced to buy used. there is one currently going for $500 on ebay, 3 bids, 7 days left

but look around and see if you can find a good deal on one

Its cus they don't make originals anymore, so the next best one is the Digitech Whammy IV (its also the closest to the original) I'm not sure what the whammy 2 is like but the XP100 is like a cheap version of the original but with wah wah effects as well.

nah..... you're not cool unless you own the WH-1.

really though, I feel like I have a good ear for tone. Not much difference when I played both. I like the whole LED feature on the WH4

originals often go for $500 or higher. i've seen quite a few sell for $700+ on ebay.
