this sounds really stupid but:

it might be cause ur lead's faulty or cause ur pickup volume is 0

You should keep your amp on standby for a least a minute before you start playing.

hahahahah its funny cause everyone is probly making this poor kid run around in circles by making him do all this stuff if anything dude lower your gain on your amp then plug it in a differnt outlet, turn it on then raise the gain again and see if it turns on
#12
Wait, how are you turning it on?

Power on for a minute or so. THEN turn the Standby to the off position.

get a quote from a tech (local guitar store should be able to do it or at least get someone who can)

If it doesn't work just send it back and get a new one
EDIT: didn't read it was used but i would still talk to the last owner because he might have ripped you or whoever bought it off

he got it used, not an option. seriously a tech will have a look at the amp for next to nothing if not nothing, and then can tell you whats wrong and how much it costs to fix, if you can do it yourself etc.

but check everyone else's suggestions first as it could be something silly or something minor
