ok..i own an electric guitar. and well....i realized that the nut at the low E and low A strings (6th and 5th) are getting sort of chipped...is there any way i can prevent this chipping....because it looks as if at the A string, the nut is about to crack...is it possible for me to like stick a piece of plastic between the nut and string to avoid it from getting worn too much?

ok...also...in order to not spam this forum, another question: my A string always breaks at the saddle...it like...it doesnt snap, but it like unravels, at the saddle....is tyhat because the saddle has a sharp point, or because the string sux.

oH! so ill draw on it to make it slide easier in my saddle
instead of letting it just slide on the metal itself ty!
