Wow.. has anyone seen this?
I saw the commercials and thought "Eh, that's kinda lame."

You assign the DS directional pad to 16 different chords and use the touch screen to strum.
Yeah, it's cool that you can play songs that are on there and sing along and stuff, but you can also record your own songs (with effects too!) which is pretty cool. Also, the signal to the headphone output is even optimized so that you can plug it into a guitar amplifier.
Here's the example video

I think it's pretty Awesome.

theres been threads on this before...

ive got it on my m3 simply, if youre the kind of person whos like eminem on 8 mile writing lyrics on the bus or something then it would be pretty handy to have this game to experiment with chords and so on when you have no way of accessing a guitar. apart from that its a bit meh, the chord samples are really good though especially through external speakers

Only problem is, I can see this spawning a hundred thousand people who suddenly think they can play guitar...

At least guitar hero can build muscles in your fingers lmao. I seriously hope this game doesn't suddenly spawn a hundred thousand people who suddenly think they can play guitar though :/

Don't be an ass. No one is going to get this and think they can suddenly play. They might think that they have a better grasp on chord structure and progression because of it though

I'm not being an ass. People have told me before that they can play guitar when they can only play Guitar Hero. And I know tons of people who claim to play guitar when the can pick out the first few lines in "Stairway to Heaven" or "Sunshine of Your Love." I'm just saying, I hope this doesn't turn into a trend like that.
