every now and then, you come across a song that is just PERFECT. in every way, shape and form, and it sends shivers down your spine over and over.

so pick YOUR perfect song/songs, and post it up.

mine would have to be Condemnation by Depeche Mode.

A lot of Opeth gives me shivers when I turn my Ipod on and I'm in bed this is probably the best way to listen to music IMO in a dark room, by yourself, nothing but the music with you to take you wherever it wants.

theres perfect songs for each genre in my opinion.

for example, i believe that the song 'paradise lost' by symphony x could not get any better. its beautiful.

but at the same time, the song 'only for the weak' by in flames is amazing for a song that pumps you up in the way that only melodic death metal can.

so, in a list, i'll give you:
paradise lost - symphony x
only for the weak - in flames
1985 - bowling for soup
sometimes i feel like screaming - deep purple

.... actually, there's a lot. it all depends on what you happen to be listening to, that defines 'perfection'

but freebird, stairway, and bohemian rhapsody should definitely be on the list

There's nothing unecessary in it, it all flows. (I'm talking about the 5 minute long max sessions version http://youtube.com/watch?v=5xZw9D9c18E) There is a small fault in the first 5 seconds but that's Butler's fault, not the song.

the lonliest duet- the secrets.

i don't think some people get what you're saying, i'm thinking you mean not songs that are just really great or perfect but literarily make your stomach turn. If there really is someone who has two albums worth of those that never fail to flip his stomach and almost everytime stop what they're doing, i envy him.
