I just opened up my wah to replace its battery when I notice that the whole gizmo had the letters "RMC 1" on it.

I'm deeply confused...is the wah's circuit board supposed to have that on there? I don't see RMC 4 or Picture Wah anywhere else on it.

Thanks.

No reason why it shouldn't. You always get a surprise when you open up electronics.

Well, there probably aren't much differences between the RMC wahs and the Picture wah, other than a couple of components, as far as the PCB goes. They're all based off the Clyde McCoy Wah, so 90% of the circuit is identical. Why use a different PCB when the parts layout is all the same.

No need to worry, my friend.

I know, but if it is something different, I would really what I ordered for.

I'd e-mail the manufacturer, and the place you bought it from if you have any concerns.

Of course, I wouldn't have any real concerns. If they were looking to hide something, it's doubtful that the clue would be staring you in the face when you change the battery. I agree with the guys above that the circuit boards are probably identical outside of a couple connections, that's all.

But send out a couple e-mails for piece of mind. Can't hurt.

^ Aye, I'd email RMC just so I knew why at least.

Hi,

Not to worry. The RMC1 on the circuit boards is just the PCB blank maker's board notation. Up until VERY recently, all models except the RMC3 were built up off the RMC1 board. I'm now running 3 different boards.

Peace, Love, and Wah,
Geoffrey

I guess there's nothing to worry. :p
