I couldn't really find any other forum/subforum that really covered it.

If there is one, move this that way.

But, I have a problem with some irregular grouping stuff.

I've got 24 32nd notes, and I want those to play in the same time as 7 8th notes.

Now I did the math and came up with an irregular grouping of 6/7, that is, to play 6 notes in the time of 7 notes to make it fit, but it still doesn't sound right.

I'm using Powertab, mind you.

How should I make this fit. Suggestions?

Actually I've played it and it sounded fine, I just couldn't find out how to make powertab do it.

Well, if the Time Signature is 4/4 then you just place an 8th at four-note intervals against the 32nd notes.

4 32nd notes = 1 8th note.

So, you'd need 6 8th notes to play against 24 32nd notes. However, 24 32nd notes isn't a full bar.

yeah i just rearranged it a bit to where it was 24 32nd notes in the time of 8 8th notes, and somehow, it sounds exactly the same.

In power tab there's a button next to triplets which allows you to group any number of notes into the time of any other number of notes. so go into that and input 6 and 7 and voila!

Note: I can't remember whether you can specify the type of note or not, so you may have to work with 24 32nd notes.

What kind of commie crap is that?

I have both powertab and guitar pro but I use Powertab because I like the interface better
