Pros:
Cleaner, less buzzy sound.
Improved, more musical sound
Playing feel
Slides sound smoother
Easier to play legato type songs/patterns

Cons:
Expected knowledge of note placement on fingerboard
Required knowledge of theory and musical concepts
Difficult to master

pros--- sound aaaaaawesome... the versatility is infinite.... specially if u use a bottleneck style


cons--- not for the weak of soul... its really hard to get used to... frustration will come

it doesnt matter whether it has fret markers or not, for the first while you play a fretless you're bound to be somewhat out of tune, and it'll feel a little awkward
