I'm not talking about the mainstream or the new pop punk. I'm talking about the old-school "Ramones" pop punk. What bands should i listen to?

IMO, the queers aren't that good, they're pretty poor vocally, musically and lyrically. I bought their album Beyond The Valley for 3 quid yesterday and it doesn't really do it for me.

Bouncing Souls, Screeching Weasel, NoFX, The Vandals
are my recommendations.

I think they are pretty good vocally and musically. Thier lyrics aren't great, but they also aren't trying to write amazing lyrics. They write fun catchy songs, which is what I love about them

nofx isnt really the poppiest punk band

Yes they are, and also one of the shittiest.

Sick pop punk:

The Marked Men
The Ergs!
The Steinways
Lifetime
Kid Dynamite
Jawbreaker
The Loved Ones
The Bouncing Souls
The Mr. T Experience
The Queers
Dillinger Four
The Vandals
The Soviettes
Radon

There are plenty more, but that should be fine for now.

That's the worst Queers album. Pleasant Screams and Love Songs for the Retarded are probably their most accessible.

The new(ish) Marked Men album is soooooo good! The Ergs! are probably one of the best bands around.

here's some good ones that have yet to be mentioned: lillingtons, randy, the briefs, teenage bottlerocket, fifteen, riverdales, methadones.
And clenching your fist for the ones like us
Who are oppressed by the figures of beauty,
You fixed yourself, you said, "Well, never mind,
We are ugly, but we have the music."

I have never been able to get into the Riverdales. Everyone around me hates me because of this. They seem far too much of a rip-off of the Ramones, more-so than the rest of the genre.

They do have a list, though.

And radio pop-punk is essentially the same thing as underground pop-punk, except better known.

Not really, I don't think Screeching Weasel and Good Charlotte have anything really similar in there sound. Also another good band who is on the poppy side of punk is Agent Orange.
