I was watching a DVD at my guitar lesson the other day and this famous dude was playing a well known solo and I cant remember the name of the song or the dude playing it but he had a Gibson Les Paul Goldtop and the sustain in his solo was absolutely stunning! It was a slow song too.

So, anyone know who he is or what the song is?

you've gotta give us more to work with.

It isn't by any chance the first November Rain solo? Sounds like it to me, but I can't say I've ever seen Slash play it with a Goldtop. At least I think I haven't...

Try it bud. November Rain by Guns N' Roses.

Not guns and roses.

The artist is just his name, not a band name. And older guy too, maybe like 55 now?

Lots of older people play Les Pauls dude. You can't expect anyone to hit it on the head with that little information.

I can't believe that this mystery was solved when all we had to work with was some guy playing a les paul.
Yeah Dimebag is not the "Greatest Guitarist" of all time... Hendrix maybe... I must go get food to eat with my mouth

$250 for an amp? wow. is it worth it to invest that much in the amp?
