Okay ladies and gents... this is a little different than the "songs to play at a funeral" thread.
On the 9th, my uncle is getting married and i was asked to play some music, and so i recruited my friend to sing and i'll be playing guitar.

So.. long story short, I need 2 or 3 songs to play at this wedding, with female vocals. The one i'm going to for sure be playing is "breathe" by Faith Hill, so something like that is preferred.

EDIT: I don't have much time so the easier, the better!!

Thanks guys!

It's not like Faith Hill, but the fingerstyle arrangement of Canon in D would be sweet.

play "50 ways to leave your lover" - that should go down nicely...

i heard a wicked fingerstyle do a nice arrangement of that and it was awesome

edit: check it

How about "Black Magic Woman" by Santana? You could dedicate it to the new mother-in-law?

I personally played Ben Harper - Waiting for you and Jack Johnson - Banana Pancakes at my wedding but that was when I was serenading my new wife, if you are the wedding band they would be pretty lame! haha.

You and Me - Lifehouse
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls

I don't understand why you'd play HTSAL though... that's more of a "I'm going to save my friend who's about to commit suicide" song.

Have you heard any music from Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova? they have some good simple songs with both male and female vocals, it should be perfect for the occasion. check out the song falling slowly or once
