I having trouble deciding what I should get for my next thrash around guitar.

Either:
Schecter Omen 6?
or
ESP H-50?

Sound doesn't really matter, since they're going to be replaced by EMGs.
Rumors have that the Omen has high frets and a wide neck and ESP has a thin radius.

To me, I prefer low frets, thin neck, C shaped radius.

^You mean leave the LTD's under 400's alone. I played the Mh-400 today and it was brilliant.

TS, go for the schecter. Its a well known fact that any 50 series LTD isnt worth anything, other than firewood.
For those who care.

it doesn't matter.
LTDs have more problems then any other guitar.
hell even squiers can hold up better then some LTD's...
since LTD's are machine made and rushed.
time = quality
quality = not being a piece of shit

omen's have fatter necks then deans....

and you don't want to upgrade an omen with pups...
you want to upgrade an omen with a new guitar.

get the ltd.
however it might end up having a problem, it's fixed within a day by a pro,
and you'll have a better guitar anyway.
the H series are sexier then Schecter Omens anyway

Um, I'm going to have to disagree with you there.
I've played quite a few LTD guitars (EX-400, V-500, Viper 350, Alexi 600...) and they have all been of supreme quality for the price, especially the 400+ models. Maybe your just thinking of the lowly 50 series when you say that, as it definitely doesn't apply to the higher ones.

Even so TS, get the Schecter. It's better than a 50 Series

too many people waste their time with this..

A lot of this is personal preference, the real answer to all "which is better" thread is...play them and find out.

Couldn't agree more.
You've read it, you can't un-read it!

the Schecter would be better in this case.. the 50's series is pretty poor quality man.

Play them both. Schecter has a fairly thick neck, just to give a heads up. ESP has a U shaped neck...it's quite different feeling than a C...more solid and secure IMHO...but I don't like Fender necks.

As for the H51, it differs from the H50 since it's now a String-Thru body, the pickups have improved (LH150s), and the headstock's redesigned. People are just going to bash it b/c it's agathis, but it's well made...I actually chose it over some Jacksons and Ibanezes because nothing could be competitive at the price (and also I wouldn't worry about bringing it to college). The agathis and its mahogany-light tone only really matters if you are going to do serious gigging...by then you can get a 400+ LTD.

What amp do you have?

If you want EMGs, why not get an Agile AL-2500 Tribal Green EMG?

Better specs and pretty decent build quality for only $60 more.

I'd just like to say that radius usually refers to the curvature of the fretboard, not the shape of the neck .

Every guitar on this earth anymore under about $6000 is machine made. IMO, ESP/LTDs have some of the better hardware for their price range.
