i was wondering if you guy can help me with some amp questions? can you guys tell me some mid gain amps and some high gain amps.

is a jcm 800 and 900 mid gain or high gain?

There's no textbook answer for questions like that, it's all a perception you could say. To me, anything that can get pretty distorted is something I'd call high gain.

I'd say both of those are in my opinion...not as high gain as more modern (recent) amps though.

yeah your question is very subjective , what do you want to play or sound like and whats your price range , there are a million hgh gain amps or mid gain , and to list them all would take forever.
do you want to play hardcore? metal? Hard rock?

i play classic rock,metal,punk, music with alot of cleans, blues, jazz,classical. but problably with a marshall you can get a metal tone.

marshall is more of crunchy rock thing to my ears.
whats your budget? are you going to play shows with it?
For bedroom practice try a roland cube 15 or 30.
